Hello my name is Sailauna Scott Madison, I am a Makeup artist and Photographer. I started very young wanting to help people look pretty and feel confident. When I was little I did my dad’s pedicures and manicures for him while he battled lung cancer. I later started to do friends make up and nails for events, using Seventeen’s magazines as a guide for makeup techniques. My mom said, “You need to be paid for these services”. So I started working in a nail salon to pay for college. While modeling on the side, I started doing photo shoots with local photographers, which became my introduction to photography. One photographer, Clatties Moorer, became my mentor and he showed me how to do make up for black and white film and let me assist with shoots. Soon I understood lighting and makeup. Coworkers at the salon often referred my services to clients. Fortunately, one day I was referred to a Magazine called Hair web .com that was looking for artists for local shoots. This led to my first portfolio which provided seven magazine tear sheets. Later, I picked up a freelance gig working for M.A.C Cosmetics and my makeup career took off from there. Since then, I have also worked and trained with international cosmetic companies and professional photographers such as Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Laura Mercier and Lifetouch Photography. I’ve also had the opportunity to touch the faces of celebrities such as Alicia Keys, Queen Noor of Jordan, Zac Posen, and Montel Jordan. Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to work on sets and runway shows such as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and Oscar de la Renta. In 2015, during my 10-year wedding anniversary vacation while joking with my husband, I said “I’m going to retire as a photographer”. Then it hit me, why wait, why not combine the two now. That day was the beginning of my rebranding journey to create this multi-service, uplifting company for you. My goal is to help people feel comfortable, confident and ready to take on whatever comes their way. Let me help you to rebrand yourself, like I did, and push you to the next level.
